hosted by World Champion Elk caller Chad Schearer.

CATEGORIES WILL INCLUDE:
1) Pee-Wee Class – 10 and under
2) Youth Class – 11-17
3) Amateur Class - Anyone
4) Pro Class – Anyone receiving compensation from a call manufacturer
Prizes awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each category.

Rules and Details:
Contest Date: Sunday February 2nd, 2025
Contest Location: Small Arena
Contest Time: 1:45 pm – all callers finished
Cost: The contest is FREE to Enter!!
Registration: On-site registration will be in the Small Arena and is open during show hours up until 12:00PM on February 2nd. All callers must be present to draw numbers at 1:45 PM the day of the event at the Small Arena or they will be disqualified.
CONTEST RULES:
4 Divisions:Pee Wee (10 and under); Youth (11-17); Amateur Adult (18 & over); Pro (Anyone receiving compensation from a call manufacturer). NOTE: A caller may enter only one division. Prizes will be awarded to the winner in each division. A minimum of three contestants is required for each division. If fewer than three contestants register, that division will be eliminated and the contestants will have the option to upgrade to a higher division.
Contest Rules: Only vocal calling or sounds produced by handheld or breath-operated instruments may be used. Electronic devices and the use of props such as trees, breaking branches and other devices are prohibited. Calls, grunt tubes or other instruments used may be a maximum of 4 inches in diameter and no more than 36 inches long.
Calls:Contestants will base their calls on the following sequences: 45 seconds for cow/calf sound, followed by 45 seconds for bull sounds. Calling times for Pee Wee Division will be 30 seconds per call. When caller makes his or her first call, the time will start. Any contestant exceeding this time will be disqualified. Callers must produce sounds specified by the announcer within 15 seconds from the time the announcer asks. When the caller makes his/her first sound, an official of the contest will start a time clock.
Calling Sequence: Each contestant will draw a number from a hat. One more number than the actual number of the contestants will be placed in the hat. The contestant that draws #1 will draw again and call twice. Contestant #1 will be scored but the score will not count. Scoring will begin with contestant #2. This process will provide judges a chance to tune their ears. If a contestant misses his/her calling sequence, he/she will be disqualified.
Scoring:Judges will evaluate each sequence of calls and score them from 1 to 20 (1 the lowest, 20 the highest score). An odd number of judges will be used, with 3 minimum.
Ties:All ties will be settled with a call-off. Call-off scores are not added into the total scores.
